About the Wedding Couple

Chloe and Kyung

How We Met

Chloe and Kyung first met in the Fall of 2005 at a downtown restaurant in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, where we had dinner with mutual friends. Chloe was living in New York pursuing a master's degree, while Kyung was visiting New York (from Boston) for a trade show conference.

The Relationship

Our long distance friendship grew throughout the Fall, and by January 2006, Kyung had built up the courage to ask Chloe out, and a New York – Boston relationship was born. The next year was filled with regular weekend trips between the two cities. They both loved dining out to multi-ethnic restaurants all around Manhattan and enjoyed going to musicals, operas, museums, ballet, and jazz performances together.

East to West

In April of 2007, Kyung was offered a promotion at his job, which required a relocation to the company's headquarters in the San Francisco Bay area. Despite the increased distance, the relationship grew to a point where the couple got engaged.

The Next Phase

Chloe then moved to the Bay area, with the couple moving to prepare for the next phase in their relationship, marked by our upcoming wedding ceremony.
